The Church of Jesus Christ in San Antonio needs high-quality photos from professional or highly skilled photographers. Photos you share will help build a library that the coordinating communications council and specialists can use to help spread the gospel. Share the gospel by sharing your talents.
Get involved by:
- Submitting photos that the Church and its members can use. See the list of photo needs.
- Tagging member photos with keywords to help make them “findable” when searching. (Contact kpack@churchofjesuschristsat.org if interested)
- See guidelines for photography.
Photography Release Downloads
- You need a signed participant release for photos with identifiable people in them.
- You need a signed location release for recognizable locations, except for Church-owned properties such as temples or visitors’ centers.
Read first, then submit your photos
1. Go to the Submit Photos page.
2. In the login field type Media Relations.
3. You will be taken to a page that has multiple galleries. Click on the folder that says PHOTOGRAPHY DROPBOX.
4. In the top left corner of the page under the SmugMug logo click the Upload button.
5. Choose “To New Gallery”
6. Name the gallery last name_firstname (using your information)
7. Under the description type any detailed information in regards to location and categories of photos.
8. Under meta keywords type any keywords that may be helpful in searching for photos (i.e. prayer, gratitude, temple, etc.)
9. Drag high-res JPEGs from your computer’s hard drive to the upload field. You can also choose “ CLICK TO BROWSE” if you wish to navigate to your JPEGs differently. High-res JPEGs at native camera resolution with basic color corrections are preferred with a file size between 3-7MB. They upload a little faster if in sRGB color space. A photoshop JPEG compression quality setting of High 8 works well or High 70 in Lightroom.
10. When you’re done uploading choose “DONE”
11. Your images should appear in the new gallery you to created inside the Folder: Photography Drop Box.
12. MOST IMPORTANTLY: If your images required a photo or location release, please email these directly to Kristen Pack. (kpack@churchofjesuschristsat.org) Your photos cannot be used otherwise.

Moderators will review photo submissions for quality, as well as copyright and intellectual property issues. Not all photos will be accepted.
